Can I connect a new Etsy store to Starshipit?
Following changes to Etsy’s integration requirements, new Etsy connections to Starshipit are no longer available from September 2026. If your Etsy store is already connected, you can continue using your existing integration.
Will my existing Etsy integration continue to work?
If you have an existing active Etsy connection with Starshipit, you can continue using it to automate your shipping. If you also use Starshipit WMS, you can continue updating your Etsy inventory.
Does Etsy handle shipping?
Etsy doesn't offer any of their own fulfillment services, but it can generate (optional) shipping labels. If you’re looking to sell on Etsy, you’ll need to handle your own fulfillment. Customers with an existing active Etsy connection can continue managing their shipping in Starshipit. New Etsy connections are no longer available.
Is combined shipping with Etsy possible?
When shipping several orders to the same recipient in a single package, it is essential to assign the package's tracking number to every individual order. This ensures that each order is accurately tracked and managed as part of the consolidated shipment. With Starshipit, you can merge orders and send partial shipments.
How long does Etsy take to ship?
The shipping time on Etsy varies depending on the processing time of the item and the transit time of the shipping method. It can also vary based on the country and postal service. The estimated delivery date is calculated using the expected ship date and chosen shipping method. When using Starshipit, you can use multiple carriers to give your customers a choice of delivery options.
Can I disconnect and reconnect Etsy?
Please keep your existing Etsy integration connected. Once disconnected, it cannot be reconnected. If you need help with your connection, contact our support team before making changes.
Can I still use Etsy with Starshipit WMS?
If your Etsy store is already connected to Starshipit, you can continue using Starshipit WMS to keep your Etsy inventory updated.
Should I ship internationally on Etsy?
Shipping internationally on Etsy can be beneficial to your business growth. Etsy offers some services to help with the legal aspects of sending products to different countries. Additionally, most international buyers on Etsy only see items that ship to their country, so offering international shipping can increase your visibility and customer base. Starshipit can help with international shipping, offering international carriers and tools to assist with HS codes and customs documentation.
Can I use my own shipping on Etsy?
Yes, you can use your own shipping on Etsy. When listing an item, you can select an existing shipping profile or enter custom shipping options for that listing. If your store doesn't qualify for Etsy shipping, you'll need to set your own rates. If your Etsy store is already connected, you can continue using Starshipit to manage your Etsy shipping, which gives you access to a variety of carriers and helpful tools like shipping rules and a label printing app.
