Starshipit August updates

Hey there! 👋 Welcome back to another Starshipit product update. With peak season just around the corner, we’ve been working hard to bring you new carrier integrations, much-requested features and lots of helpful improvements to get you prepared!

So what’s new? We’ve made some tweaks to our algorithm:

• We now prioritise the least amount of packages, rather than the least unused space.
• If there are multiple packages, we'll set the weight of each package to the sum of the items that the algorithm selected to go into this package.

Import tags from Shopify (Classic UI)

Now in Classic UI, you can import Shopify tags into Starshipit and have them appear within the orders grid. You can enable this option from Shopify by heading to Settings > Integrations > Shopify Settings > Advanced and enabling the setting there.

You can now add the following columns to the New tab of the Orders Grid:

• Bin location: The bin locations of the items in the order
• Company name: The receivers company name
• Item total: The total number of items in the order
• Reference: The reference number for the order
• Shipping paid: The value of the shipping paid by the customer at checkout
• Tags: The tags assigned to the order

We have also made more columns in the Orders Grid in the Classic UI optional, meaning you can hide columns you previously couldn't to better suit your needs.

Here’s an overview of what’s new with UPS:

• Cancel shipments: You can now cancel UPS shipments directly within Starshipit, saving you from hopping between platforms.
• Adult Signature required: Need to send restricted goods? You can now require an adult signature for shipments to ensure age verification. Just tick the Adult Signature box in the order details.
• Large package and additional handling indicators: Make sure you get accurate rates by flagging shipments as large or requiring additional handling. We've added checkboxes to the order dialog for both Large Package and Additional Handling indicators.
• Starshipit is now UPS Ready: This partnership reflects our dedication to integrating with top-tier shipping solutions that meet the highest industry standards. You can read more about this in our blog.

• No account required for occasional users (credit card booking available)
• Handles various products: whiteware, brownware, furniture, fitness equipment, electronics, etc.
• Utilises specialised vehicles and a nationwide freight network
