Hey there! 👋 We hope you had a chance to enjoy a well-deserved break over the holidays and are feeling refreshed and ready to take on the year ahead. As we kick off 2025, we’re excited to bring you a host of updates designed to streamline your shipping operations and enhance your experience with Starshipit.

In this update, we’re introducing:

  • 💰 A redesigned the Checkout Rates setup process with a new configuration page and improved workflow for a more intuitive and efficient experience.
  • 📦 Even more carrier integrations, giving you greater flexibility and choice when it comes to your shipping network (Including Bonds Courier, Urgent Couriers and more).
  • 🎨 A refreshed, modern colour palette for the Classic UI, bringing a cleaner and more contemporary feel to your workflow.

Display accurate transit times at checkout with Starshipit

Save time with a simpler, more intuitive checkout rates setup

We’ve made big improvements to the Checkout Rates setup process, making it easier than ever to configure shipping options at checkout. With a redesigned configuration page and an improved setup flow, you’ll now experience a more intuitive and efficient way to manage your shipping rates.


Here’s what’s new:

  • ✅ Form-based setup – We’ve introduced a streamlined, form-driven approach for enabling new shipping products and services. This makes setup clearer and more straightforward.
  • ✅ Active carrier services display – You’ll now only see active carrier services in a structured grid format, eliminating clutter and giving you a clear view of what’s enabled at checkout.

These enhancements are designed to save you time, reduce complexity, and give you better control over your checkout shipping options.

A more modern look for the Classic UI – without changing your workflow

We’ve given the Classic UI a refreshed, modern colour palette, bringing a cleaner and more contemporary feel to your workflow.

While everything still works the same, you’ll notice a more polished and intuitive design that enhances usability – without disrupting the experience you’re used to. Check it out and enjoy the updated look!

3PL international shipping enterprise

Avoid costly fees with smarter US address validation

Shipping to the US with incorrect address details – such as minor street name misspellings – can lead to significant penalties. Since address validation in the US occurs down to the street level, even small errors can result in additional charges or return-to-sender scenarios, increasing costs.

To correct this, we have implemented localised address validation specifically for US addresses when using UPS and FedEx. This enhancement improves accuracy, reduces the risk of failed deliveries, and helps prevent unnecessary fees.

More control and transparency with Customised Rates

Our Customised Rates feature helps you fine-tune the shipping rates you see in Starshipit, so they better reflect your costs. Based on your feedback, we've made some handy improvements:

  • Margins won’t apply when a courier rate is $0 or not returned, keeping the Cheapest Carrier rule accurate.
  • A new Margin column in the Shipping Price Report gives you a better breakdown of your costs.
  • Customised rates from a parent account can now be applied to all child accounts—overriding individual settings—or selectively applied to specific ones.
  • For supported child accounts, customised rates (including margins) now show in the shipping breakdown, providing more transparency.
  • It’s now easier than ever to select which child accounts receive customised rates, making setup a breeze.
  • We've modified our pricing breakdown for 3PL child accounts so that these margins will not be visible.

Mobile App: Meet your new pick and pack warehouse management app

Pick & Pack Mobile: What's new

Here’s what’s new in the mobile app:



Print directly from your mobile device

You no longer need a desktop or the Print Client to handle your labels. Printing now happens directly from your device:

  • iOS: Use AirPrint to send labels straight to your printer. You can save your preferred printer in the app settings for faster printing.
  • Android: Print labels seamlessly using the built-in print dialog, similar to printing from a browser.

Other improvements

We’ve also made a few updates to improve order processing in the app:

  • Filters that stick – Order filters now persist across sessions, even if you close the app or switch orders.
  • Continuous scrolling – Infinite scrolling is here, so you can view all your orders without limits. Easily refresh by pulling up on the list.
  • Invalid address labels – Quickly identify orders with invalid addresses before picking. Note: resolving these still requires the desktop app for now.
  • Bulk pick improvements – Multi-selecting and bulk picking now consolidates identical SKUs into one list, making batch picking smoother. You can also sort items by different attributes to speed up picking.
  • Barcode scanning only – A new setting (Settings > Configure Scanner) removes manual pick buttons, so items can only be picked/packed by scanning a barcode.
  • Packing exit confirmation – If you start packing and try to exit mid-way, you’ll now get a confirmation prompt to prevent accidental closures.
  • Force label printing – A new setting (Settings > Enforce Printing Labels) stops users from marking orders as packed without printing a label first. No more missing labels!
  • Use a physical scanner – Connect a Bluetooth barcode scanner instead of using your phone’s camera. Enable it under Settings > Configure Scanning.
  • Smarter search behaviour – By default, scanning an order number adds it to a bulk pick list. Prefer scanning to instantly open an order? Enable Go Straight to Order Processing under Settings > Order Search/Scan Behaviour.

Starshipit and Australia Post Integration

Invoice reconciliation for Australia Post

Ever noticed your courier invoices don’t always match the rates you were quoted? Extra charges, adjustments, or errors can add up quickly. That’s where Invoice Reconciliation comes in.

This new feature helps you automatically compare your Australia Post invoices with Starshipit’s quoted shipping costs, making it easy to spot discrepancies and stay on top of your shipping expenses.



How it works

Upload your Australia Post CSV invoice in Classic UI (Analytics > Reports > Invoice Reconciliation), and Starshipit will match it to your shipments. You’ll get a report showing:

  • What your customer paid.
  • The estimated shipping cost from Australia Post.
  • The actual invoiced amount.
  • Any discrepancies, so you can review unexpected charges.

Got a request for another carrier?

Right now, this feature supports Australia Post, but we’re looking to expand it. If you’d like to see other couriers added, log a request on Canny and let us know.

New carrier: Urgent Couriers

We’re pleased to announce that Starshipit is now integrated with Urgent Couriers! Urgent Couriers is one of New Zealand’s largest specialised on-demand courier services, recognised for fast, premium delivery both domestically and internationally.

They offer a range of point-to-point services in Auckland, from 15-minute express deliveries to same-day economy runs. As New Zealand’s first carbon-neutral courier service, Urgent Couriers is a sustainability leader, setting the benchmark for eco-friendly transport across the country.

New carrier: Parcel Right

Another new carrier: Parcel Right! Parcel Right offers straightforward, transparent pricing with no hidden fees, tailored for domestic shipping across Australia. Parcel Right is 100% owned by DAI Post. Established in Melbourne, Australia, DAI Post has been getting parcels to customers safely and efficiently for 24 years.

Starshipit and Bonds Integration

New carrier: Bonds Courier

We're pleased to announce that the Bonds Courier integration is now live. This integration enables you to take full advantage of Starshipit's features, including:

  • Printing shipping labels
  • Generating quotes
  • Tracking updates

With support for over 20 product codes, Bonds Courier offers a wide range of freight options, from small parcels to large freight, tailored for domestic shipping across Australia.

New carrier: Parcelpoint Asendia

We’ve got another new international shipping solution with Parcelpoint powered by Asendia, now available through Starshipit and offers fully tracked international parcel delivery, helping you extend your brand’s reach worldwide with ease and confidence.

We’ve added PBT Transport as a new courier option in Starshipit! This integration allows you to generate shipping labels, load rates in Starshipit & at checkout and send tracking updates back to your store. PBT Transport supports various package types, including CHEP and Loscam pallets.

TGE Priority International now supported

We’ve expanded our integration with Team Global Express to include Priority International, making it easier to manage your international shipping.

With this integration, you can:

  • Offer checkout rates to customers.
  • Generate shipping labels and packing slips.
  • Auto-correct addresses to reduce delivery errors.
  • Provide branded tracking and notifications for a seamless experience.

TGE International live rates – More accurate pricing at checkout

We’ve added support for live rates with TGE International, allowing you to display real-time shipping rates at checkout for your TGE International services. This ensures customers see the most accurate shipping costs based on their order details, helping to reduce cart abandonment and improve the checkout experience.

As a quick refresher, with live rates, you can:

✔️ Provide up-to-date shipping costs based on carrier pricing

✔️ Improve pricing transparency for your customers

✔️ Minimise unexpected shipping fee discrepancies

Starshipit and TNT Integration

Enhanced residential address handling for TNT

We’ve introduced new features to help you account for residential surcharges in TNT rate requests.

Residential Sender Address

  • Flag sender addresses as residential by ticking "Sender Address is Residential" in Settings > Couriers > TNT > Advanced
  • Once enabled, residential surcharges will apply to sender addresses.

Residential Receiver Address

  • Add the DestinationIsResidentialAddress tag to flag receiver addresses as residential.
  • Automate this process using rules in Starshipit (e.g., assign the tag based on postcode or address).

These updates help you avoid unexpected fees and improve rate accuracy.

Starshipit and Shopify Integration

Expand bundle products with Bundles.app

We’ve introduced a new setting in the Shopify integration to help merchants using Bundles.app or similar tools manage product bundles more effectively.

This setting breaks down bundle products into individual items during import, based on metafields that identify bundle components. This allows you to see and manage specific items in a bundle when packing orders.

Starshipit and Amazon Integration

Amazon updates – Tax import & address mapping

We’ve made two key enhancements to our Amazon integration, giving you more control and accuracy when processing Amazon orders.



Here's a look at the enhancements:

  • ✅ Amazon Tax Import – Orders from Amazon can now include tax values, ensuring correct order value adjustments and more accurate reporting.
  • ✅ Amazon Address Mapping – A new option allows you to map Address Line 2 to "Building" in Amazon integration settings. This gives you more flexibility in how addresses are structured. (This setting is off by default.)

These updates help ensure smoother order processing and greater accuracy with your Amazon shipments.

Starshipit and BigCommerce Integration

Seamlessly manage multiple storefronts in BigCommerce

We’ve introduced a new setting to help BigCommerce users manage multiple storefronts more effectively in Starshipit.

With the Import Channel ID as a Tag setting, you can

  • Filter orders: Use the orders grid to filter by specific store IDs.
  • Create rules: Automate workflows using tags, e.g., “If Tag = [storefront ID], assign to X account” or “Set carrier to X.”

This rounds out our BigCommerce storefront offering, as we also support writeback for multi-storefront setups.

3PL Central: New writeback options

We’ve introduced new settings to improve compatibility with 3PL Central’s billing scripts and account configurations.

  • Recalculate charges on writeback: A new setting allows you to trigger 3PL Central to recalculate Auto Charges during writeback by including the recalcAutoCharges field.
  • QuickBooks integration enabled: Another setting includes the invoiceCreationInfo field for accounts using QuickBooks. This field is excluded for non-QuickBooks accounts to prevent API call failures.
