Stocky is shutting down: What Shopify merchants need to do next

If you're a Shopify merchant using Stocky to manage your inventory, you've probably already seen the news: Stocky is being discontinued on 31 August 2026.

What's happening with Stocky?

Shopify has confirmed that the Stocky app will be fully shut down on 31 August 2026. It's already been removed from the Shopify App Store (as of 2 February 2026), meaning no new merchants can install it. Key features including inventory transfers and min/max forecasting were stripped out back in July 2025, so if you're still using it, you're already working with a reduced version of the tool.

Shopify is consolidating inventory functionality into its native Admin, but for many merchants, those built-in tools don't go far enough. Particularly if you're managing multiple locations, running a warehouse, or need more control over your purchase order workflows.

What happens when Stocky shuts down?
